Mr. Michael Dean Pinson
Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians:
It is an honor to be the principal of Fayetteville High School. We look forward to working with each of you and forming a partnership that will ensure our students achieve their highest potential. I encourage you to maximize your experience here by getting involved with your FHS family. We recommend student participation in clubs, athletics, and school activities. We invite all parents to join our PTA. I couldn't be more excited about the various programs we will implement. Some of these programs include Student of the Month, the Academic Letter Club, Senior-led Conferences, Senior Blitz, and the 21/25/30 ACT Club, to name a few. We want you to know that we value the partnership among the students, faculty, and the community. Our doors are always open, and we are appreciative of your support.
At Fayetteville High School, we are committed to upholding The Gold Standard in education. This standard reflects our belief in setting high expectations for academic achievement, personal growth, and community involvement, ensuring that each student is empowered to reach their full potential.
This year, we are especially proud to introduce several innovative initiatives aimed at enriching the student experience. One of these is the Wolf Wildcard Trading Card Company, a unique incentive program where students earn trading cards from their teachers for achievements and positive behavior. These cards can then be traded in for exciting rewards, motivating students to strive for success in a fun and engaging way.
We have also launched The Great Medal Quest, a school-wide reading incentive program that encourages students to track their reading progress through Beanstack, earning gold, silver, and bronze medals for their accomplishments. Additionally, we are expanding our STEM opportunities with the creation of STEM clubs for elementary students and dedicated STEM classes for middle school students. These programs are designed to inspire curiosity and build essential skills in science, technology, engineering, and math.
In line with our commitment to academic excellence, we are a Cognia STEM-certified school. As part of this effort, we have implemented a school-wide PBL (Project-Based Learning) showcase, provided teachers with professional development in tools like Pear Deck, and introduced students to real-world careers through events like the Worlds of Work expo. Students are also developing digital portfolios to document and showcase their growth throughout the year.
It is our goal as a staff to afford you the best education and experiences possible while empowering you to continue building the unique characteristics that make you a proud FHS Wolf! Work hard, be passionate about every endeavor, make lots of memories, and remember that every moment counts. Leave a legacy that you are proud of!
Sincerely,
Michael Pinson
Principal
